We’re engaged! We live in New York City, but the hometown of our hearts is St. Louis, which will be the site of our wedding sometime next year. Matt teaches sixth grade in the Bronx; Stephanie studies church history at Union Theological Seminary. We like cooking, puttering, reading, writing, wandering around the city, taking pictures, seeing movies, music, our families, daydreaming…

Congrats! Looking forward to offering encouragement/giving advice/helping out/witnessing the fabulosity!
I think this is a great idea. It allows everyone to see what you are doing. When you get to our age, you don’t attend a lot of weddings, so we have no clue what is “new” in wedding planning. More than any other time in your life you are creating memories, the day itself goes by so fast and because of the emotional overload, can be very hard to remember, but we all try. Especially those of us that are happily married and see our wedding day as the beginning of a wonderful life as two become one.
